Phi Kappa Tau - Gamma Psi Chapter
Sigma Kappa Epsilon (a local fraternity) was founded by twenty-three men on the Southwest Texas State campus in November 1965. In its first month of existence, members of Beta Alpha Chapter at the University of Texas approached the local about affiliating with Phi Kappa Tau.
On April 20, 1968, the Gamma Psi charter was signed during an afternoon reception at the home of Dr. Walter S. Corrie (Colgate 1941), an associate professor of sociology at the school.
Gamma Psi Chapter went inactive in 1988 and was brought back to the newly named Texas State University in 2012.
